Meet Nick – The Heart Behind Rech Physio
Helping You Move Better, Live Stronger.
Nick founded Rech Physio to help people move better, live pain-free, and stay active through every stage of life. With years of experience in physical therapy and strength training, Nick believes in personalized care that fits your goals not a one-size-fits-all plan.
Our Story: From Nebraska Roots to Rech Physio
Nick graduated with a B.S. in Athletic Training from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2010. He then earned his Masters degree in Health and Human Movement with an Emphasis in Sports Medicine in 2013 while working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the women's gymnastics and football teams at Utah State University.
Finally earning his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Delaware in 2015. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Certified Specialist for the Fitness Athlete from the Institute of Clinical Excellence and holds a CrossFit Level 1 certificate.
Nick grew up on a farm outside Ulysses, Nebraska. Like many other therapists, he sustained a back injury in high school and the subsequent physical therapy he received turned him on to the profession.
After graduating from physical therapy school, Nick and his wife, Kelsey, did traveling therapy and nursing for about a year. Nick has worked in just about every setting including home health, skilled nursing, outpatient, acute care and inpatient rehab (Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital-Lincoln).
Nick started Rech Physio in 2019 treating patients in their home to fill the gap between home health and outpatient therapy. This made it much more convenient for older adults to get access to care especially for those who didn’t drive. Today, Rech Physio has grown into a physical space providing physical therapy, personal training and group fitness classes in addition to treating patients in their home.
Nick and Kelsey moved to Grand Island in 2017 and have three sons, Arlo (7), Ollie (5) and Beau (1.5). Nick's hobbies include playing with his sons, gardening, listening to podcasts, mountain biking, rock climbing, snowboarding, carpentry, general health, nutrition and fitness.
